Short tutorials on PDFs, images and maths
Tutorio Lab explains small, concrete things: merging two PDFs, cutting the background out of a photo, working out VAT, or understanding why you never add the denominators of a fraction. Every tutorial gets to the point, shows the steps on screen, and writes down what was done, so you can follow it by reading if you would rather not watch the video.

How these tutorials are made
First we look at what people are actually searching for and where they really get stuck. That is what the script is built from, step by step and taking nothing for granted: if the word "discriminant" turns up in a tutorial, we have explained what it means first.
Then we record the screen doing the real steps, with the tool open and in the language of the tutorial. No stock screenshots, nothing reconstructed from memory: if the site moved a button, the video shows it where it is today.
And before anything is published, every video goes through three automatic checks — that the screen changes at each step, that whatever the voice names is written on that screen, and that the voice does not run ahead of what you can see — and then a person looks through the frames one by one. The numbers in the calculators have tests of their own.
If you find something that no longer works the way we show it, write to us: the tool will have changed and the tutorial needs redoing.
